This program is a 16-17 credits/ 1 semester certificate program designed to be completed in one semester. Upon completion of the program, you will be able to help improve the access to services, improve the quality and cultural competence of care, create an effective system of chronic disease management, and increase the health knowledge and self-sufficiency of underserved populations.  The CHW certificate can also offer students a pathway to advance their academic careers in other health- and social services-related fields such as community health, nursing, medical assistant, social work and more. this program is also offered as a customize training; College professional staff and instructors work directly with businesses and industry to provide training solutions customized to meet specific needs. The training is delivered when and where you need it by industry experts who’ve “been there and done that.”
